I once worked at a cosmetic counter and everyday it seemed as though ladies would come in wanting to know how to get rid of their dark circles under their eyes. Many of the circles may be from a late night, stress, hangover, or crying, but whatever the reason for the dark circles, NOTHING seems to cover them completely.
But the miracle trick is a special secret…a cheap stick of red lipstick! If applied correctly, red lipstick will completely hide the dark circles all day!
Here’s the catch, most people are terrified of putting red lipstick under the eyes for fear of making the dark circles larger. The red pigment hides the shade of gray under the eye. Okay the application is tricky though…so pay attention women (and men?)….
Take the tube of lipstick and lightly dap it from the corner of the eye and down a little all the way to the other corner. When I say lightly I mean lightly! Then take a q-tip and rub all the dabs together to form a light pink color. Next, take a tube of concealer, slightly lighter than your natural skin color, and put just a little on the end of a q-tip. Make little dots all under the eye over the pink shade. Blend all the dots together and make sure it is also blended into the cheek so there is no line. Take a sponge applicator usually used with foundation and lightly rub over the area to be sure it is blended well….There you go, no more dark circles for a cheap price! The whole process takes about 45 seconds to 1 minute.
After working at many different make-up counters and using all of their products I suggest purchasing concealer from Origins in the light or very light shade. If you have a really dark complexion, then maybe try the medium. The tube runs about $11 and only takes a very small dab to cover the eye. One tube of concealer will last about a year or longer. That’s a small price to pay for a good concealer.
Try applying the red lipstick at home one night when you have no where to go, that way you can practice and make sure you apply just the right amount of red lipstick and concealer. If it still won't work, call these guys.
does it need to be red or can it be mauve or plum in color ? is liquid or tube concealer better ?

Tried it. Works like a charm! Thanks for making church so great this week, no one could tell I'd been up drinking all night long. Oh, wait, is this that online confession site I meant to visit...?
