Is $2,000 too much to ask for in a handheld? I didn't think so either. The OQO 0.1 is a Windows XP based computer that fits in your pocket or purse...and according to the review and website can run your most complex applications.
20 GB hard drive, 1GHz processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Firewire, USB port and a THREE HOUR BATTERY LIFE. It all sounds just fine and dandy until you get to that last point. 3 hours without battery life is very typical in my day...and this thing is made for the mobile business person in mind. Not the tethered to a generator business person.
Although I can clearly see where the business world would benefit from having an entire deck of information on a small handheld that could be linked to a projector or another machine, and the fact that this thing is back-ordered now is a testament to that but only 3 hours at 2 GR?!?! Think I will just wait for later versions to come along.
... and I just wait a bit longer till my cell phone, pda, mp3 player, camera, radio, video recorder thingy does it all in one - and come free with my next contract update.
;-)
